Cookie Policy
Last updated : 16 July 2026
This policy describes the use of cookies and other trackers on the openvisio.fr website (the “Site”), in accordance with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the recommendations and guidelines of the CNIL.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie (or tracker) is a small file placed and/or read on your device when you visit a site or use an app. It can ensure the service works, remember preferences or measure audience. Similar technologies (pixels, local storage, session identifiers) are treated as cookies.
2. Categories of cookies used
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies (exempt from consent)
Essential to the operation of the Site and Service (authentication, session, security, load balancing). They cannot be disabled and are exempt from consent under CNIL guidelines.
2.2 Audience-measurement cookies
Used to produce traffic statistics and improve the Site. Where they do not meet the CNIL exemption conditions, they are subject to your consent.
2.3 Preference cookies
Remember your choices (language, display). Subject to consent where not strictly necessary.
2.4 Third-party / marketing cookies
Where applicable (social networks, embedded content). Subject to your prior consent. To date, OpenVisio uses no advertising tracking cookies.
3. Legal basis: consent
Non-strictly-necessary cookies are only placed after your free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, expressed via the cookie banner. You can accept, refuse (refusal is as easy as acceptance) or configure your choices by category. No consent is presumed from mere browsing. Consent is stored as proof and requested again at most every 6 months.
4. Cookie lifetime
Cookie lifetime is limited to a maximum of 13 months; information collected via these cookies is kept for a maximum of 25 months, per CNIL recommendations.
5. How to manage or refuse cookies
- Via the consent manager on the Site, accessible at any time (“Manage cookies” link).
- Via your browser, which you can configure to accept, refuse or delete cookies. Refusing strictly necessary cookies may impair the Site.
- Via opt-out platforms offered by some audience-measurement providers.
6. Tracker table
| Tracker name | Publisher | Category | Purpose | Lifetime | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | OpenVisio | Strictly necessary | Session / authentication | Session | Not required |
OpenVisio only sets a strictly necessary session cookie; no consent-based cookie (audience measurement, advertising) is used to date.
7. Mobile apps
The OpenVisio mobile apps do not use web browsing cookies but may rely on technical identifiers and local storage strictly necessary for operation (session, preferences). App-specific permissions and processing are described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect legal, regulatory or technical developments. The date of last update appears at the top of the page.
